'Her Majesty' is the holder of the most-replaced-cat-tags award!

You can no doubt see why Jeanie's nickname is 'Her Majesty'! What a regal and withering look! She is also the owner of the Pet 24 cat-with -the-most-replaced-tags award, and as such has been sent a free one.
She's now on her 9th tag.....and is lucky to have such a patient, loving and long-suffering owner, one of her subjects of course!

                                                  Stay safe your Maj!!

Nelson...not a stressed dog!!

Here is a picture of Nelson (lounging). He and our other dog Archie (also covered under Pet 24) were with us at a friend’s party and the dogs escaped from the garden. We were looking for them for only about 45 minutes when we got a call from someone located a long way from where we were looking. They had Archie and Nelson and they were returned to us safely. Without Pet 24 I do not know how we would have found them as they had travelled so far in such a short space of time. It was scary to think that they might have been left outside overnight in the freezing weather. Thanks to you guys it wasn’t a problem

Eddie's owners were abroad when he was hit by a car..........

"On the 11th of November my partner and I were away visiting family in Italy. We were on our way out that evening when Chris got a phone call from a number he didn’t recognise- he let it go to answer machine because he presumed it was a sales call. However, he saw that whoever had tried to contact him had left a voicemail message so it probably wasn’t a sales call after all.

As he was listening to the voicemail I saw his face change dramatically and knew immediately it was bad news; Eddie had been involved in a car accident. This is when I realised I’d not brought my phone out with me and I started to panic,-we felt so helpless being so far away. Chris phoned Pet24 back and was given the information they had, he was also given the number of the person who had phoned the number on Eddie’s collar tag. We were soon in touch and able to piece the story together.

Eddie had gone missing for over an hour whilst on his walk with my mum and had obviously tried to make his way back to her house (he knows the route well). He had subsequently been run over by a car on a 40mph speed limit road and the driver had sped off. Fortunately for us two wonderful people, whom I will always be indebted to, stopped and got out of their cars to stop the traffic and help Eddie. We were able to get in touch with them and ask them to kindly take Eddie to our vets because, luckily, they were close by and they were able to bring Eddie in for an emergency visit.

Eddie was inspected by the vet who determined that there was nothing too seriously wrong with him and that he was one very lucky dog! Some painkillers were prescribed for his pain and inflammation; all of this was covered by Pet24’s emergency funds in case of an accident. We are just over a week on and Eddie has made great progress, he has a few cuts and a bit of a bad leg but we are hopeful that with time and tlc these will heal.

I cannot begin to thank everyone who helped us in this horrible ordeal, we’ll be forever grateful.

I would also like to thank Pet24 for not giving up and phoning us until someone answered, when I got back to my phone I saw I had several missed calls, texts and emails! If we hadn’t got in touch with the people who found Eddie God knows how long it would have taken us and my mum to find him again. I URGE everyone who hasn’t already, to list more contact numbers on their list of emergency numbers and, if their pet is being looked after by someone, to ensure that their number is one of those numbers too!

Finally, thank you to Ali who I spoke to when I rang Pet24 regarding claiming our vet fees for being so caring and pleasant to deal with.

Here is a photo of me and Eddie, I’m so happy to have him in my arms once again!”

Beau goes on his travels....next door!

You might be surprised by how often when a dog goes missing, they often don't travel far at all! This of course does not lessen the awful stress that we feel when we realise our dog is missing, so a quick return is vital for the sake of both the dog and the owner. Microchipping is essential (it's now the law and great for proving ownership) but the finder of the lost dog has to spend time-sometimes hours- first locating a scanning machine, then taking the dog to the scanner. Our service will reunite you with your dog within a few minutes. Our 24/7 call centre team will call you within seconds of the finder calling us-and we'll ensure the safety of your dog until you reach the finder.

Here's another recent story of a 'neighbourly visit' by Beau:

'Beau, decided to avail himself of the opportunity whilst my back was turned to "visit" our neighbours, who also just happened to be " doggie people."

As they are quite new to the area, they became concerned that he was lost and phoned the number on the collar tag.

That number tag is in my view worth its weight in gold!!

Beau wasn't gone more than a few minutes, so it says to me that the service is invaluable in reuniting pets and owners! Beau is not yet one year old and is well socialised, hence his desire to say hello to as many people as possible!!

I cannot fault the service. Full Marks!!'

Many thanks for your help,   Barry Greene

The MOST innocent little face...!....'Moi?!... running off ...then chewing valuables?!'

Shoelace's wonderful sweet face disguises his actions that day...!...from his owners:

'We are most grateful to you for locating Shoelace, our mischievous  two year old Norfolk Terrier.

Whilst visiting family who own another puppy (Labrador) the two of them went on a 'little run' and although the lab puppy returned, Shoelace didn't! Luckily for us Shoelace was found by a lovely lady on her way to work. After Pet 24 gave her our number, she tried to call us but our mobiles had no reception at first. After driving around looking for him, our mobile reception improved and she got through- poor Shoelace was distressed but very relieved- as were we!

When we got home he was still a bit hyper-active and due to chasing the cats around (!) I put him in the bedroom...were he proceeded to chew my hearing aids!
Amazingly he hadn't damaged the units themselves and the hearing aid centre was able to replace the wires and inserts at no cost and they work perfectly.

I must again thank you for your help and for responding so quickly when Shoelace was lost.'

Lovely Lola found safe and sound

Lola is such a sweet looking dog (and has a sweet nature too!) that we found it impossible to choose which picture to publish-so we have chosen both! When she went for her little 'adventure' luckily she was found pretty quickly by a member of the public who called our Cambridge-based call centre team, to inform them of her whereabouts. They called Lola's owner Ulrica and voila!...lost doggie and relieved owner were happily reunited!

Bungle's outdoor life!

Many thanks to Bungle's owner, Greg, for this photo of such an adventurous doggie! Greg is not only an Agria Insurance customer but also a busy tree surgeon. He does his best to keep tabs on Bungle who loves being out all day with his owner, but does make good use of the Pet 24 protective service, despite Greg's best efforts! We're very glad that Bungle's been found safe and sound!

Bouncy Harvey reunited with his relieved owner-a happy Agria insurance customer!

At LAST Harley's long-suffering owner managed to capture him (almost!) static enough to have his portrait taken! As a lively bouncy puppy this proved a very difficult job!

We are delighted that another treasured dog has been returned safely with the help of Pet 24. Here's wishing Harley a long, happy and no doubt, bouncy life!

Pixie returned safely to her loving home, through Agria Insurance and Pet 24

Many thanks to Pixie's owner for sending in such adorable photos! Her little 'adventure away from home' led her towards another member of the family's house...unaccompanied! Luckily the finder rang the Pet 24 number on her collar tag and she was reunited quickly with her owners. As you can see-back home, safe and sound and much-loved!

Escapee Indy!

I was out running with Indie in our local woods when I noticed that she was no longer following me. I grew increasingly frantic as I couldn't find her however I received a phone call from Pet 24 to say that she had been found by another dog owner. I was really impressed by the speed in which the calls were transmitted to me. Luckily Indie had found some other dogs to play with and hadn't come to any harm but I was amazed at how quickly she had escaped me as my back was turned for such a short time.

I would really recommend Pet 24 as a back up to microchipping for reassurance and its speedy service. Thank you!
